Question 1 of 1
1. Question
Read the Task 1 question below and the model answer that follows. Complete the short answer questions. Type your answers in the spaces provided.
You are going to rent a new apartment and are writing to a rental agency to enquire about available properties.
Write a letter to the Rental Agency Manager. In your letter
- tell them what type of property you are looking for
- what area you would like to live in
- the amount of rent you are willing to pay
Dear Madam,
I am writing to you as I am currently looking for rented accommodation and I wonder if you have any properties available that may be suited to my requirements.
I am looking to rent a two-bedroomed house and my preference would be a property in the Northgate area of town, though I would also consider living in Marley as that location would also be relatively convenient for work.
Since I do not have any household equipment such as a refrigerator or washing machine; I am therefore looking for a house which is equipped with all kitchen appliances.
My elderly mother will be sharing the property with me and since she has difficulty getting around, we would not be able to consider renting a house that had steep steps because access would be a problem.
I am willing to pay up to $590 dollars per week and would ideally like the property to have a garage.
I would appreciate it if you could contact me should you have any houses available that would meet our requirements.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
June Grey
